Baptism, baptism

Hey fam how's it all goin?

Just got out of a leadership meeting with all of the ZLs, AP, and Pres. Agazzani. It was incredible! we are taking everything and putting it in the water. It was the most incredible meeting, just filled with the spirit of inspiration, revelation, and discernment. We are starting a whole new way of working, with a whole new page; and we are going to be baptizing every week here in every area!!!! With our diligence and obedience the Lord will bless us with His grace and we will see so many miracles.

This last week we had a bunch of miracles happen. one of the coolest was our practice that we had at district meeting. it was me and elder schone teaching elder wistinsin (UT). the practice was teaching the restoration and always testifying. it was incredible the spirit that was there was one of the strongest that i have felt at a district meeting. me and elder schone did a normal teaching a lesson in 8min pace for the first part of the lesson and then when we got to the restoration we slowed down and let the spirit work its wonders. it just came in time and time again stronger and stronger testifying to all of us that the boy Joseph did see God the Father and His only Begotten Son Jesus Christ, and that the true church of God was restored in its fullness to the earth through a modern day prophet. that honestly is the thing that we all have that we must share. as it says in the scriptures why should we hide our light in a bushel. we gotta let it shine out. be a bright example and declare the restoration of Gods true church to everyone. we all have it and they all need it. the priesthood authority has been restored and only by that authority can one be baptized so that they can enter into the kingdom of God. if they don t they will not be able to. so how important that we share this joy, this eternal happiness, this strength, satisfaction, and love with all of our brothers and sisters throughout the world? uber caduber important. that is why i am so grateful that everyday i have the opportunity to declare this gospel and happiness in this beautiful country of paraguay.

this week though we are so blessed because Mirna is super excited for her baptism!! due to some health problems she couldn't do it two days ago, but now she's ready and excited more than ever. watching her and nestor grow is incredible. Nestor is the most converted man that i have ever seen in my life. his testimony is so strong and he just wants to share it with everyone. him and mirna after church came with us to teach a couple that came to church and he just testified and testified. he wants to help them get baptized!! also there is a girl named Tamara who has been listening to the missionaries for a while. her sisters, cousin and brother were baptized but she wasn't. after going to a youth activity and having a wonderful spiritual experience there she went home and said to her mom, "mom, i want to be baptized." her baptism is scheduled for friday. WHAT AMAZING MIRACLES AND BLESSINGS FROM THE LORD!!! it just shows how activities can help someone come to know the truth of this gospel. it is so amazing!!!!

last but definitely not least i want to give the shout out to my wonderful mother and brother blair who are going to be completing another amazing year on the 1st. i am so grateful for you guys and all that you have done and continue to do. you are the most amazing examples for me. mom has helped me become the man that i am today and blair has been that perfect example helping me have a vision for who and what i want to become. that you both have wonderful birthdays.

i testify to you all that this is Christs church here on the earth. that it was restored through the prophet Joseph Smith. The Book of Mormon is another testament of Jesus Christ and by reading it was can really come to know who he is. Today we have a living prophet, Thomas S. Monson who talks with the Father and the Son. The priesthood authority has been restored so that all man kind may be saved through the ordinances of the gospel. first we must take that key step of baptism by immersion by someone who holds the authority and then be on the path to go to the temple which leads to exaltation.

i love you all and thank you for all that you do

Loving Learning

Hey fam!

so i do hope you all appreciate that i try to make some catchy titles to my letters it does take time to develop and sometimes its one and off, but ya get what ya get.

this week was a wonderful week. we had two amazing meetings. we met up with pres. agazzani and the stake pres. the room was so full of amazing priesthood holders. Pres. agazzani receives revelations for this mission i have no doubt. he has this new plan of working with all members less active and active to help more people be baptized into the only true and living church of Christ. it was amazing we got so much revelation and the work is going to explode!!!! also on weds we had our interviews with Pres. Agazzani. He is amazing he is super personal which i love. shows his love and concern for every missionary. loves the work. wants to get things done and is willing to give it all to have it done. he says that he is not a man of words but with the spirit any man can be a man of words because it is the Lord speaking through them.

Nestor got the aaronic priesthood on sunday it was amazing he is so excited and is going to baptize his wife mirna on saturday. i would send you pictures but this cyber doesn't connect to my camera. we also found 3 youth who want to be baptized!!! a member who was baptized in secret and was afraid to tell her family got the push and stood up and now is giving us referrals and is bringing so many people to church. just shows how if one of us opens up our voice how many people can be brought into the Lord's fold.

I am doing well. today i listened to a really cool talk by elder holland called 'Remember Saul's Wife'. it talks about having faith and hope for the future and forgetting the past and forgiving all including yourself. that before was a difficulty for me but now through prayer, and fasting, and studying the scriptures the Lord has strengthened me so much.

sorry i don't have a ton of time today but i love you all and pray for you daily. with you all well and have an amazing week. this is god's work!!!! this is his church. the book of mormon is true.

Love,

Elder Wilson

I am Grateful

Hey family!

i am grateful for you!

There are so many miracles that happen all around us. how grateful i am to be at the service of the Lord for these two years.

I'm grateful for the trials that come and the battles that are won.
I am grateful for my Lord and Savior Jesus Christ because through Him i can be clean completely clean of everything, and my family can be together forever.
I am grateful for this gospel and the miracles that happen everyday.
I am grateful for the Book of Mormon and the testament that it is of Jesus Christ and our Father in Heaven.
I am grateful for my Father in Heaven who loves me and gives me peace and comfort through His spirit and listens to my prayers.
I am grateful for the calling that i have and to serve 23 missionaries and so many more around me.
I am grateful for goodly parents and a wonderful family which i love and cherish with all of my heart.
I am grateful for my lineage.
I am grateful for my grandparents, for the one on the earth and those who have passed to the other side of the veil.
I am grateful for who i am and for who i am becoming.
I am grateful for my faults and slip us of my past because through them i learn and grow and become a man of God.
I am grateful for my mission presidents, Agazzani and Callan for their fatherhood and love, and for their wives who have helped me in sickness and given me merry greetings.
I am grateful for a living prophet who talks to the Father and the Son.
I am grateful for the same organization as the primitive church.
I am grateful for the priesthood keys that have been restored to the earth that seal families for all time and eternity.
I am grateful for the knowledge that i have and the knowledge that i need to obtain.

My list can go on and on. I know its not thanks giving, but what are you grateful for? and have you thanked them yet?

Families are incredible we have been finding and working with multiple families. Nestor (baptized last week) and Mirna to be baptized next week have the spirit and just happiness in their home. Luis, Norma, and Sofia are a testimony how God prepares His children and how they are preparing to enter into His holy house to be sealed for the eternities. Familia Haider, 4 kids and with a ton of energy who need this gospel and this happiness, and know that families will be together forever.

I am grateful for Grandma Bond, better known in the family as Grandma Utah. I constantly remember me and she talking about basketball for hours on the phone or at her house. Eating dinner on the small table in her house watching movies with Liz, Mac and Tori. Helping her out with her garden, and her example of faith and hope, and truly enduring to the end. Her passing gives me another drive to endure to the end so that i may live with her and my family again. I know that i will live with her again and see her again. having been paralyzed on her left side it is incredible that she raised 3 dogs to behave perfectly when i cant even do one dog to behave, cook amazing meals, and take care of a household. she will always be loved and always be in my prayers.  i won't be in Utah physically but i will be there spiritually, right after that though i will be back here 24/7 so that others can have the joy and assuredly i have. This is Christ Church the Book of Mormon is true. Joseph Smith was a prophet of God and we must all repent and be baptized by one holding Gods authority to live with Him again.

That is my testimony of my heart and my hope for all the world that if they can just hear my voice one time they will know that i know that this church is true. I love you all God lives

Have faith give your all, and the Lord will show His grace

Hey fam!!!

wow this week has just flown by. honestly every week on the mission has a million things that i can write to all of you about and tell you about all of the multiple miracles that are happening all over the place. today though i want to mainly focus on two things our first meeting with Pres. and Hna Agazzani, and the most stressful but miraculous(sc) day in the world.

Thursday we had the great opportunity of meeting Pres. Agazzani. It was two of the biggest zones in the mission us Zone 5 and Zone 4. It was nice because i was asked to direct the music and i have found it actually pretty fun directing the music. i have done it for most of my mission now and i very much enjoy it. The meeting was nothing big. Me and Elder Schone presented the zone and the numbers that we got this last month and what we are going to do as a zone to improve and see more baptisms. We then all presented ourselves. I just said my name is elder wilson I'm from chicago and next week humberto sandoval is going to be baptized. something short and simple. When pres. and hna agazzani went up you could just see the love that they have for this work and the desire they have to bring more of God's children to this gospel. Pres. Agazzani is the complete opposite of Pres. Callan. they are both spiritual giants and amazing. he is a super funny guy and you can see the love that he has and the vision that he has for the mission which is baptize twice as much.

so this last week Nestor and Mirna were married and Nestor was baptized. So all of this last week they were getting all excited for the wedding and the baptism. with members we did amazing decorations and some great food, but there was a huge trial of faith that was coming for both ends. saturday morning we get a text from nestor saying that he wants to push it off till next week. we were at the office for a meeting so we waited for after. he then called us and we just didn't acknowledge the push off and set up a visit. we asked the first counselor to come with us to teach. it was one of the most spiritual lessons ever. tears were brought to our eyes and we testified so much and with all of our hearts. i even got a bit direct. after about an hour and a half they wouldn't budge and said they didn't know when they would want to do it. we honestly left defeated with low faith and hope. we felt that we had done everything to help this family be baptized and just had no idea what to do next. before we left though we felt impressed to say to them. if you change your mind we will be at the church at 6 and its all ready for you. we go to talk to the brother who made the cake and snacks to tell him its off and then i get a call. after literally 5 min they decided to get married and Nestor was going to be baptized. The biggest change of heart and miracle in the world. this is the Lords work because there is no other way that they would say yes. that night was amazing full of the spirit. they got married and it was so wonderful. i honestly cant wait to get sealed for all time and eternity with my future wife after seeing all of these wedding and the spirit and happiness they bring. sunday Nestor came with a suit and tie and has so much support from the ward, and now wants to go out with us to visit people to help them get baptized. i honestly through an email can't give the full details. but i know that this is the Lords work and that He can change any heart. I love this work and i love my Savior. His hand is everywhere in our lives we just need to give our all and have faith in him.

This saturday Humberto is going to be baptized and that is another miracle

i love and pray for you all will get pics for ya next week

New President Same Vision

HELLO!

Saturday morning Pres. and Hna Callan started on their flight back to Utah.
Friday afternoon Pres. and Hna Agazzani and family landed here in beautiful Paraguay.
They are from Cordoba, Argentina. Have five kids of which 3 came with them and the other 2 are finishing this year of school before coming out. I will admit that the calling most talked about in our pension is to become the AC (assistant to the children) we would be baptizing all the time. teaching lessons at soccer practices and birthday parties would be amazing. Plus a lot easier to find families! hahaha i did have the opportunity to talk to Pres. Agazzani on the phone last night. a very energetic and social guy.  He doesn't speak any english or guarani so he had some difficulty saying my companions name and our area Ka´aguy Rory. don't worry one day i'll teach you all how to say it. We get to meet them all on thursday for a zone meeting for a couple of hours. i'm super excited!!

well this last week we were able to see a whole bunch of miracles and some great experiences. we went on divisions with an area called libertad. I was with Elder White from Logan, Utah, and my companion was with Elder Naef from Arizona City, Arizona. Me and Elder White had a great day found a lot of future baptism and wonderful people. A great elder with a wonderful desire to learn and to grow. Elder Naef is a new Elder and on his 6th day in Paraguay he got to go on divisions. From what i heard after it was a pretty fun experience. He is struggling on his spanish which will come along and my companion did the we gotta get somewhere walking speed for much of the day which was something new for Elder Naef and sounded like a great experience. Both wonderful elders who are going to see miracles.

Just so you guys all know there are 3 walking speeds. slow while walking with a contact. normal when looking for people. and fast when you need to get somewhere now. just so you know my normal speed before the mission was slower than the slow speed.

The biggest miracle this week was Nestor and Mirna. we have been teaching them for the last 2 months or so. they have gone to church multiple times and we were just lost on what else could be do to help them be baptized. we had taught everything and they had received multiple answers. we were working with the bishopric and our ward mission leader. the ward all loves them. so we got to the point after our lesson saturday that we were thinking we may need to stop visiting them for a bit. our visit on saturday we talked about everything and it just ended with me saying "Nestor, I love ya. You need to be baptized. Lets go i'll fill up the font right now." Now sunday after sacrament. we go and talk to them and they say that they have an announcement. In our heads all that we are saying is please please help them recognize the answer that they have received and say Yes. They said "we have decided to take the step and we want to get baptized on saturday." on the outside we were very happy and excited but inside it was the fourth of july firework finally! what a huge blessing! we learned that when we give everything literally everything that is when the Lord steps in and lends his helping hand. that night at a FHE he told the other investigators and the members his CONVERSION STORY!!!! it was so amazing.

The Lord really works miracles, one of those million is that Nestor and Mirna are getting married and baptized on Saturday. I can't wait. I am also learning about the atonement so much and repentance. i am truly becoming converted and learning how to live my life to be the man that God wants me and expects me to be. I love this gospel. I love my savior. The church is true i have no doubt.

love you all!
