The photos come from our screen shots of Elder Parker while we had our Mother's Day phone call. We had a brief letter as well.
Hey!!!
Wow this week was full of miracles and awesomeness!!!! we got to do two divisions this week when normally that is not something that helps out a whole ton it did. i was able to be with Elder Izurieta from Argentina who just started his mission and Elder Dyches from Arizona who is our zone leader. they are both incredible elders and i learned so much from them.
we had stake conference this last Sunday and they touched multiple points which i loved. a mom read a phrase that her son, who is on the mission, said to her in an email and honestly they are wonderful words. "In the way that we treat the Lord's desires, He will treat ours" i hope it makes sense, in spanish its clearer. "En la manera que tratemos los asuntos del Señor, Él tratara nuestros asuntos" It is so true. On the mission many missionaries worry about what is at home, many young men here are worrying about leaving school, work, girlfriend, fam, and other things. I know that if we truly put this statement into practice as advice that i have read from Blair and Lindsey just leave what is at home at home and focus on the Lord's work. He will take care of everything when you are gone. Another point that they talked about was having "The Vision". We need to have a vision for our mission. what we want to become, what our potential is, and what we are going to do to reach that vision. The Lord has already set His vision for us. We are to be as He is. To be like Him and the Father. On the mission we set goals as to literal numbers but also to actions or habits or different things. This must be applied to our daily lives if we wish to reach the vision that our Father in Heaven and Jesus Christ have for us. We must do the small things: daily scripture study, praying with real intent night and day, pay a full tithe, fulfill our callings, partake of the sacrament every week, all in all BE OBEDIENT. Obedience to the Lord's commandments is what will help us return to live with Him again. Obedience is the key to returning to our Father in Heaven again.
I love the mission. I echo what Elder Holland has said it means everything to me. I am so blessed to have been here in Sajonia with Elder Norton and Elder Horton because during my time here i have not only made the turning point of my mission but of my life. My goal is set and my vision is clear. I will live with my Father and His son Jesus Christ again with my family for the eternities.
i love you all and pray for you every night
love
